QUICKIE COUPLE

Mark Santello and Sandra Miller are a husband-wife who have been practicing and teaching these communication skills for over a decade.

Mark is a licensed clinical psychologist and lecturer in psychology at Harvard Medical School. Impatient with long-term analytical therapies, he maintains that good practical skills will help patients long before inkblots and dream interpretation.

He received a B.A. in psychology from Yale University in 1986 and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Vermont in 1992. For the past 15 years he has worked at McLean Psychiatric Hospital in Belmont, Massachusetts where he has run thousands of groups focused on helping people improve their communication skills and lead rewarding lives.

Sandra, the yin to Mark’s yang, is a nationally published freelance writer who writes exuberantly about sex and relationships, often her own. Recently, Sting’s wife Trudie Styler turned Sandra’s essay about meeting Mark into a short Hollywood film called WAIT, starring Kerry Washington and Debi Mazar.

Mark and Sandra are a formidable team ready to take on the world of couples quickie by quickie.

While living in Asia and Europe in her 20’s, Sandra directed her people-passion into teaching and community leading. She has taught counseling on three continents with a special interest in helping parents. Two years ago she launched her own grassroots organization called Mothers Excelling Together (MET).

Mark and Sandra are a formidable team ready to take on the world of couples quickie by quickie. They have been married for ten years, but have known each other twice that many. They often disagree but seldom disrespectfully. At the urging of many people, they decided to teach the communication skills they use to their advantage.
